Coming into Villa Borghese is a fantastic experience: the modern museum, sets in this historical XVII century villa, is plenty of amazing masterpieces.
With me you will see some of the most famous works of art belonged to the Baroque, the specific XVII artistic style: I will show and explain you, using images and photos, some of the most important Bernini's works, the genius of the Baroque. (like the "Rape of Proserpina" or "Apollo and Dafne"). There are also a lot of fine canvas, from the Renaissance to the XVIII century. Inside the museum there's also a Raphael's canvas, so famous that some centuries ago Scipione Borghese, the ancient owner of the Villa Borghese, decided to stole it...

But the museum hosts other fantastic things, from ancient Roman mosaics to gorgeous marble busts. I will lead you through the fine and decorated rooms of the museum, showing you the Caravaggio's canvas or the "Paolina Borghese", one of the best Canova's marble masterpiece.
